MEDC members are engaged in industrial, economic, or community development organizations, as well as executives of Chambers of Commerce and utility companies, and staff members of private, public, or quasi-public industrial/economic development agencies.
MEDC offers opportunities for professional development and networking. We offer quarterly conferences and networking events designed to update and inform our members on innovative economic development practices. MEDC provides opportunities at all of its functions for personal interchange among members, invited speakers, and guests. The Council is governed by five Officers and a fifteen member Board of Directors that represents the various regions of the State.
MEDC also maintains linkages to the Northeastern Economic Developers’ Association (NEDA), the International Economic Development Council (IEDC), Mass Development, the Massachusetts Alliance for Economic Development (MAED), the Massachusetts Department of Economic Development, and the Massachusetts Department of Business and Technology and works with those organizations to promote professional training through basic and advanced educational programs.
