Economic Development Priorities Discussion with Secretary Hao
Join MEDC and Secretary Yvonne Hao as she gives event attendees an exclusive opportunity to discuss the Commonwealth's priorities for the new Administration and the economic development plan.
After the speaking portion of the event, there will be an opportunity to take a walking tour of downtown Fitchburg to review the progress and opportunities for the community.

Commercial Kitchens and Food Incubators - An MEDC Follow Up Event
Join MEDC in its first in-person event after COVID. MEDC is excited to follow up on a virtual event held in June 2021 focused on commercial shared kichens and food-centered incubators, and how they can drive economic development in communities across the Commonwealth. Catch up with previous attendees and see what's happened since 2021.
We will hear from representatives of a few different incubators and what they are doing to succeed as we emerge from the pandemic. We will also have a discussion on financial resources available for the industry.

MEDC presents "Local Economic Development in a Hybrid World: A Speaker Series". Throughout the year, we will have events focused on local economic development in a post-COVID hybrid world.
Future topics include housing, workforce, and repurposing office space.
To kick off this speaker series, we welcome Dr. Mark Melnik, Director of Economic & Public Policy Research at the UMass Donahue Institute.
Dr. Melnik will provide an overview of the COVID economy, discuss what is happening in the economy right now, and pose some questions on what the future holds.
