Registration Open, Thursday, December 4, 2014 (revised date) for the 51st Annual Massachusetts Economic Development Council Annual Meeting and Conference, an important event that aims to bridge the gap between policy and practice on key issues facing economic and community development professionals here in Massachusetts. The conference will feature a wide-range of topics that will inform and affect how policy is formed and how economic development practice is carried out locally, regionally, and across the Commonwealth.
Secretary Gregory Bialecki will be the featured luncheon keynote speaker. Secretary Bialecki has served as the Secretary of Housing and Economic Development for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts since his appointment in 2009. As Governor Patrick’s housing and economic development advisor and cabinet member, Secretary Bialecki has oversight of 14 state agencies that carry out on the Administration’s top priorities in business development, housing and community development, consumer affairs, and business regulation. The Secretary will provide an update on the Commonwealth’s economic development strategy with an emphasis on the impacts for local and regional economic development.
