MEDC is committed to offering our members timely programs and services in order to promote the standard of living and economic health of each our Massachusetts Communities. Our programs provide opportunities for our members to network with like-minded experienced professionals in order to share best practices.
MEDC also seeks to help Massachusetts economic developers do their job more effectively by raising the profile of our profession. This is done through our legislative outreach and collaboration with other economic development agencies such as the Massachusetts Office of Business Development , MassEcon, and the Executive Office of Housing and Economic Development. Through our Executive Board and Committees review issues and legislations that are important to local economic developers in Massachusetts. They recommend policy actions and establish positions which are communicated to key officials through white papers and direct communication. By staying current of new programs and regulations, MEDC is able to influence and advocate for our members.
