The 2013 MEDC Annual Conference and Meeting will be held on Friday, October 4, 2013. We hope you will join us as we celebrate 50 years of economic progress. We are thrilled to host this event at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough Massachusetts.
Our Keynote Speaker for the conference is State Treasurer Steve Grossman. Treasurer Grossman has delivered on his promise to put all Treasury contracts out to competitive bid and has saved taxpayers over $11 million in reduced service fees and administrative costs. He has established the Small Business Banking Partnership, which has deposited over $300 million of Treasury cash reserve funds in community banks to help grow Massachusetts small businesses and promote job creation. His presentation will be timely and engaging.
Our Keynote Luncheon Speaker for the conference is Congressman Joseph Kennedy III. Congressmen Kennedy will bring an interesting perspective to the discussion as he is currently conducting a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) Tour of Massachusetts, and is visiting businesses, schools and programs across the Commonwealth that highlight the state’s leadership in STEM education and workforce and economic development. He will share his results and observations including the best practices and partnerships between industry, government and academia to expand the reach of STEM. We look forward to his presentation which promises to be dynamic and interactive.
