Jennifer True has been selected as the Executive Director of the Massachusetts Economic Development Council as of March 1, 2013. Jennifer’s experience in higher education and the workforce development sectors will serve MEDC well as we celebrate our 50th year.
Jennifer received her Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Bridgewater State University and serves as the Sargent at Arms in her local Rotary Club in Plymouth. She is also currently the Director of Workforce Development and Training at Cape Cod Community College.
Jennifer brings a wide range of experience in program development, event planning, applied research, strategic planning, organizational development, and workforce development. She has also has had a professional relationship with MEDC for nearly 10 years, first in a previous role at Bridgewater State University and then as a consultant for MEDC and Board member representing the Cape and Islands region.
Upon accepting the new position, Jennifer noted, “I hope to continue to expand our membership and the professional development programs that we offer our members so that they can advance in their careers and effectively oversee local economic development within each of their respective communities. I am looking forward to building on the great foundation that has been developed over the last 50 years.”
